In March, Pakistan's T20 franchise competition was stopped mid-season. The delay occurred as a result of a Covid breach in the biosecure bubble, which resulted in a number of positive cases among the teams. PSL 6 New Schedule 2021, PCB confirmed that the remaining PSL 2021 matches would be held in Abu Dhabi from June 9-24. Additionally, these matches were originally scheduled to begin on June 1 in Karachi, but a recent surge of COVID-19 cases in the nation prompted the NCOC to refuse the PCB permission to organize these matches.
