The placenta grows where the fertilized egg grows inside a woman's uterus. They can be in one of four positions during a 20-week scan. They can be in the front, back, or bottom of the womb. In general, placentas attach to the back of the uterus, but an anterior placenta means that the baby is taking a back seat to the placenta, which means that the placenta is on the front wall of the uterus. Somebody close to the woman or her husband could, for example, go to her belly and start talking to the baby. This means that it won't be actually talking to the baby.
The research was done in 2014 on this subject. 72.8 percent of the 103 women who had an anterior placenta gave birth to girls. The other 27.2 percent of women gave birth to boys. The placental position has a connection to the baby's sex, but it isn't a very good way to figure out how old it is. In order to get the most accurate results, more research needs to be done in this area.
