Copy the correct one to another place on your computer and rename it.tiff or.jpg. Open in Preview or another suitable application. I was able to restore the wallpaper from my first iPhone using that approach. However, I had to go through a large number of files. The required file was around 800th out of 4.500.

iPhone/iPad: Choose a lovely wallpaper and hit the yellow download icon just underneath it. Then tap and hold on the picture for a few seconds.
