Subaru chose a different strategy with the VA series WRX, which was introduced in 2014[64] for the 2015 model year. This time, the Impreza brand has been discarded in all regions, and the new model is simply called the WRX, as was the case with the previous model in North America, while the WRX S4 was marketed in Japan. Additionally, the body design deviates more from the Impreza donor model than in the past. The main WRX profile/silhouette, as well as the front doors, trunk lid, and interior, were carried over from the Impreza. However, the WRX's whole front fascia and rear quarter panels were unique.
