While a battery-powered WRX STI is a fascinating concept, the WRX STI's demise is still really sad news. For comparison, the 2021 model is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 310 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. All of that twisting deliciousness is transferred to the road through a six-speed manual gearbox and a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system. However, there is no disputing that the WRX is a noisy and boisterous vehicle. Inside the cabin, you'll hear and feel plenty of road noise, particularly in the STI, which can drive from dealer lot to weekend rally competition and be immediately competitive.
