Checkpoint Insignia Checkpoint Flags are seen throughout the majority of kingdoms and throughout the Odyssey. When the player dies, they are sent to the last Checkpoint Flag they touched or struck with Cappy. By picking a Checkpoint Flag on the map, the player may also warp to any Checkpoint Flag they have previously touched or struck with Cappy. A bubble is created when Cappy touches an underwater Checkpoint Flag or when Cappy collides with one. Gravitational field A zone that tugs the player in the direction indicated by the field's arrows.
Luigi's Balloon World, a hide-and-seek minigame, was launched as part of a February 21, 2018 update. It requires players to spend 30 seconds hiding a balloon inside a kingdom, which may then be played by others seeking to locate it.
